Family Planning
We offer contraceptive care and advice, including pill checks, contraceptive injections, fitting of Intrauterine Devices (IUD) also known as the 'contraceptive coil' and contraceptive implants. If you would like to discuss any of the above services please make an appointment to see Dr Maguire, Dr Gormley or Dr Lancashire.
Emergency Contraception
The emergency contraceptive pill (morning after pill) is available, free of charge without prescription, from most pharmacies, sexual health clinics and most NHS walk-in centres and minor injuries units.
Antenatal Care
Wednesday 8.45 hrs - 15.00 hrs
When you first learn you are pregnant you are able to access a midwife directly through the practice. You will be given a ‘booking appointment’ at which the midwife will ask you a few questions and carry out some general health checks. The midwife will provide you with information to help you make your choices regarding screening tests on offer to you. You will be seen regularly throughout your pregnancy either at the practice or at the hospital of your choice, or both.
Child Health and Immunisations
Tuesday 10.00 hrs - 12 noon (Appointments are also available outside of these times)

Minor Surgery
Friday 09.00 hrs - 12 noon (monthly)
We offer a range of procedures including joint injections, skin excisions, in-growing toe nail removal, etc, which can be done at the surgery. Please discuss this with your doctor who will refer you to Dr Marshall.
All other services can be undertaken by the Practice Nurses or Healthcare Assistant - please book an appointment informing the medical receptionist which type of appointment that you require.
Health Promotion
We are keen to try and promote good health and would like to invite any patients who have not been seen within the last 3 years to attend for a health check. Please make an appointment with the practice nurse or health care assistant.
