As part of the NHS reforms, the government is this year encouraging GP surgeries to engage with their patients and set up a Patient Participation Group (PPG).

The aim is for GPs and patients to work together to provide input into matters important to its Practice patients and fits in with the proposed changes to the NHS which, seek to give the public a greater say in the way health services are organised.
